CARCAR CITY COLLEGE LIBRARY
Established AY 2011-2012 started with the collection of 1,265 volumes of books, some of which were donated by concerned Carcaranons. At present, the Library still strives to progressively develop and grow in accordance with institutional development and expansion plans of the College by acquiring more resources to support the curricular, and research needs of the students and the other members of the community.

Carcar City College will strive for excellence as dynamic provider of resources in support to unprejudiced access to knowledge and information in the most efficient manner possible to improve quality of life of Carcaranons.
Goals
Carcar City College Library aims to provide the basic resources and facilities of a modern library as it organizes a balanced set of books, e-resource materials, journals and other resources of information in accordance with the curricular offerings of the college and the needs of the researchers and extension workers.
Objectives
- To orient and accommodate the students in accordance to the proper usage of the library
- To meet the information needs of the students and Faculty
- To provide facilities and access to e-library technology for students, faculty, and researchers.
- To serve as a depository of all the researchers of the college both by the students and the faculty
- To make arrangement with other libraries for resource exchange program.

Monday to Friday (8:00AM- 7:00PM no noon break)
Saturday (8:00AM-12:00NN 1:00 PM -5:00PM)
LIBRARY RULES AND REGULATIONS, POLICIES, AND PROCEDURES
- Students should present their student ID and recently validated Library Card upon entering the Library and sign the attendance logbook.
- They are expected to follow the dress code prescribed by the college (as specified in the Student Manual 2019, p. 39).
- All clients must set their cell phones in silent mode while inside the Library. Making or answering calls should be done outside the Library.
- The validated Library Card is presented every time a library material is borrowed or returned.
- The Library is mainly for research and study.
- Eating, smoking, sleeping, doing industrial work and engaging in group discussion are not allowed.
- Silence, cleanliness, and orderliness must be observed strictly at all times.
- Laptops can be used, provided that it is not connected to any electrical outlet in the Library.
- Upon leaving the Library, all clients must present their personal belongings for inspection.
The Library Card
All students who are enrolled in the College must secure his/her own Library Card that would serve as a pass in using the Library.
As part of the enrollment procedure, all students must bring their Library Cards for validation. New students should submit themselves for picture taking to be issued a Library Card.
Library Cards are non-transferrable.
Lost Library Card should be reported immediately to the Librarian. The student will have to submit an affidavit of loss and pay to the Treasurer for the renewal and submit the receipt to the library staff for reissuance.
Circulation Policies
- The students are allowed to borrow one book at a time for a period of one day but renewable for another day except when there is a prior request from another user. All books will be taken out for home use starting at 4:00 pm and should be returned on the next day on or before 9:00 am.
- Only books with multiple copies can be borrowed for home use.
- General Reference materials like encyclopedias, dictionaries, and Almanacs are for library use only
- Newspapers and other periodical materials are for library use only.
Overdue Fines and Penalties
Books and other items borrowed from the Library if not returned on time will be charged a fine daily.
Borrowers with unsettled accounts/unreturned book are not eligible to borrow another one until the account has been settled.
Lost Books
Lost books should be reported promptly since fine continues to be counted until the Library is notified with the loss. If confirmed lost, the borrower is deemed to replace another copy of the book.
Damaged Books
Borrowers are responsible for returning items in the condition in which they are borrowed. If books are returned damage, (liquid/water-stained, writings on pages, missing cover, pages torn-out, etc.) the borrower will be charged with the repair cost of the item. If the damage is unrepairable upon examination, then the borrower will replace the item.
Collection
Books in the Library are arranged using the Dewey Decimal Classification and are color coded. Aside from the books, the Library is subscribing to printed and electronic journals to support further the needs of the researchers.
Passwords are given to users when accessing the electronic journals.
STARBOOKS
Science and Technology Academic and Research –Based Openly Operated Kiosks. The First Philippine Science Digital Library is also available for use both the students and faculty.
The E-Learning Center
E-Learning Center houses the STARBOOKS and computer units where students and faculties do their research with the access of the internet, and the online resources.
