RESEARCH GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
The College Research undertakings aim to:
- Generate new knowledge in the field of agriculture and fisheries towards food sustainability;
- Craft project proposals for poverty alleviation, literacy, peace and order, and environmental protection; and
- Produce research findings that can be used as basis for policy formulation and implementation.
RESEARCH AGENDA
The Research Agenda of Carcar City College shall be participatory and consultative process involving the internal and external stakeholders. The College shall align its Research Agenda with government agencies like the Millennium Development Goals, Commission on Higher Education, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Education, the National Higher Education Research Agenda, Law Enforcement Agencies, the Central Visayas Regional Development Agenda and the College Vision and Mission in determining specific research thrusts and priorities.
- Researchers that are multidisciplinary are preferred over those involving a single discipline.
- Policy-oriented researchers are preferred over those with little or no policy implications.
- A research should involve the participation of as many stakeholders, preferably a network rather than standing-alone.
- Basic and applied research shall be given importance.
